Players in the squad will take part in training sessions alongside the Men’s 1st Team on Tuesday evenings and have the opportunity to represent the Club play in fixtures at Redditch United’s Trico Stadium.

Elite Development Training Nights

After trails players will be selected to join a playing squad to represent each team with the squad reviewed regularly from performances through the season to enable progression.

Players within the programme will benefit from:

• Games and training sessions at Redditch United’s Trico Stadium
• Match day hospitality at fixtures

• End of season presentation evening

The programme has been developed by new Head of Academy Wayne Mundon. Mundon commented, “this is an exciting new venture for the club and the programme is designed to give players of this age a unique opportunity to progress into senior football. We have a number of excellent coaches who are working with us at The Trico Stadium. Recruitment has already begun! It has been so good to get back to training safely, following government guidelines, and the small groups we have coached in has allowed us to really get to know trialists. We have had 60 players involved in socially distanced sessions over the past week, and we will have 60 more over the coming week too, with the quality on show so far being outstanding, so we are excited to see the progression of a lot of these players over the coming season.”

Redditch United Football & Education Programme

The Full Time Football & Education Programme will be running alongside the PDP. This not only provides our Full Time Scholars the opportunity to train full-time and play in the U19’s National League Alliance, but further pathways into football and the opportunity to represent the club at various levels, as well as study full-time and receive College and University Level qualifications.
