Redditch United are excited to unveil a new badge variation.
The new crest is to be used to help people in the community recognise the Clubs badge with the wording of the Club's name made bigger. It will be used on social media and our various marketing material to help promote the Club. In addition, the crest highlights the date that the Club was originally formed in 1891 to celebrate the Clubs 130th Anniversary this year. The Club's official current crest will remain the same on shirts and registered with the FA and the League, but you can expect to see this variation used in various formats too.
Redditch United Chairman David Faulkner commented:
"I am very happy with this crest as a slight change to help people in the community recognise the club's badge as ours. It should be highlighted that this is not a new badge or crest. Just a variation that will be more useful in some formats. In the existing crest the wording of the Club's name is pretty small and so for people who can't recognise the badge to be ours they may not link the two together. By highlighting the name in this format, we will have crest that will better serve the purpose of promoting the Club in our various marketing material. This variation also highlights our 130-year Anniversary. I am very proud to be part of this long history and I know our supporters are too. We should celebrate that fact that we are one of the oldest Club's in existence!"
Not only will this variation be seen across various platforms but there will also be a batch of new items available in the Club shop including mugs and scarfs available soon featuring this branding too.
